Antique Buying trips to England | a Quiet Luxury experience…
You start to notice it slowly. The buildings get further apart, the roads become a little more narrow (and charmingly one track), and fences are traded for those gorgeous crumbly honey-colored stone walls—clearly hand-placed and full of character. Suddenly, you’re seeing more sheep than people. The light hits the landscape differently.
Ahhhh… you’ve made it to the Cotswolds.
This is where our hearts beat a little slower and our souls feel instantly at home. We’re absolutely smitten with the English countryside and, even more so, with the kind of quiet luxury it offers. You know the kind: where charm and elegance whisper to you gently instead of shouting.
We seek out those magical stays—the manor houses turned boutique hotels and centuries-old coaching inns that now serve as cozy pubs with creaky floors and roaring fireplaces. Luxury that surrounds you in the warmest way. These are the spots we hand-pick because they feel like a hug from the countryside itself.
Over the course of five delightful days, you’ll be immersed in stunning architecture, dreamy gardens, and interiors that make you want to redecorate your whole house. You'll stay in spaces thoughtfully updated by British designers—where charm and history are beautifully preserved, but with just the right modern touches. While we always include time in the beloved Cotswolds, each trip has its own unique itinerary, exploring different regions where the shopping is top-notch and the antique fairs are absolute treasure troves.
Each day begins the best way possible: with a full hot breakfast, naturally. Whether you're team custom-blended tea or team frothy latte, we’ve got you covered. Bonus points if there’s a fireplace crackling away in the background. (There usually is.)
Let's Talk Shopping
(and Then Some)
This is a shopping trip after all, and it’s nothing short of fabulous. We’ll wander through quaint antique shops, dig through treasure-filled warehouses, peek into private workshops, and explore the most charming antique malls you’ve ever seen. But don’t worry—it’s not all antiques. Dotted along the high street are those can't-resist boutique shops, and yes, we’re always game to “just pop in.”
Our days are delightfully full until the shop doors close. Along the way, we may sneak in a garden tour or a visit to a grand country house—because beauty is everywhere in the English countryside, and we want you to see it all.
Honestly, it’s not uncommon for someone to shout, “Can we just pull over?!”—and we do—to admire a lovely walled garden, thatched roof cottage, and pastural scenes straight out of a Masterpiece tv series.
Evenings Worth Lingering
In the evenings we settle into a slower pace. Dinner becomes an unhurried, enjoyable experience—often in charming gastro pubs or, at times, refined Michelin-starred restaurants. And when it comes to dessert, we rarely resist. In fact, one particularly memorable guest once ordered every dessert on the menu for the table to share—a gesture as gracious as it was unforgettable.
By the end of the trip, our guests rarely feel like clients. They’ve become friends—travel companions who’ve shared laughs, stories, and the joy of discovering something special. There are after dinner strolls with views of the countryside and equal parts clean countryside air. We love the English countryside and we love watching clients fall in love as well.
Post-dinner strolls? A must. The countryside air? Crisp and dreamy. And as night falls, you can choose your version of perfect: a chatty evening in the pub, admiring your day’s treasures, or a long soak in a classic British tub with a cup of peppermint tea in hand.
Slip into your plush robe, spritz a little sleeping mist on your pillow, and drift off in your fabulously made bed dreaming of your Full English in the morning.
Why We Do This
